Stormforge Beginner Guide

1. Understand storms

Storms in Sorana work like open-world dungeons. Each is guarded by tornadoes that hunt you and hazards such as lightning strikes, toxic clouds and fire spurts. Outrun or glide around the tornadoes, destroy the generators (or find another way) to drop the shield, defeat the storm-powered guardians, and break the crystal to clear the storm for good. Cleared storms give storm-infused resources and skill points.

2. Build a base early

Build piece by piece or move into an abandoned village house. Place a crystal pillar at its heart to shield it from roaming chaos storms that sweep the whole map. You can craft straight from any chest inside the pillar's radius, quick-stack your inventory into matching chests, and repair gear for free.

3. Beat bosses to unlock classes

Defeating bosses earns crests, which you spend to unlock classes. See Classes and Bosses.

4. Travel

Place portals for fast travel back to base, and build a boat to sail to distant islands with new storms.

5. Co-op

Up to 8 players online or LAN. Dungeon and ruin chests have personal loot per player, and quests are shared.
